Structural Analyst(Remote)


This is a Full-time position in Lexington, KY posted November 29, 2021.

A Structural Analyst job with Belcan Engineering Group is currently available in Lexington, KY or via remote support.

This job is a full-time direct position with benefits.

To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor”s degree with at least 3 years of experience.

In this role your primary responsibility will be to perform structural analysis using classical hand calculations and finite element analysis for aircraft and suborbital spacecraft.
Structural Analyst job duties:
Perform structural analyses using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as well as using classical aircraft hand stress analysis methods
Generate and maintain ownership of finite element models
Perform plan, model, and results reviews, internally and with customer
Ensure calculations and models are checked and validated
Create structural analysis result summary presentations and reports
Maintain strong communication with the internal team and with the customer
Manage your own project work
Mentor and train junior engineers
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from a four-year accredited institution.
3+ years of structural finite element analysis using ANSYS
Experience with classical hand calculations
Ability to be self-directed and balance several tasks at one time
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Prior mentoring or leadership experience
Due to the nature of the work, U.S.

Citizenship is required.
Desired experiences and skills include:
Experience with composite analysis
Experience with fatigue analysis and linear-elastic fracture mechanics using NASGROW
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, etc.
Familiarity with resources such as MMPDS, Bruhn, Roark, etc.
