Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor directs production & shipping operations for the Filter Factory plant.

Job Requirements:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Supervises & coordinates activities of production workers to ensure compliance with standards.
2. Provides & documents training to all employees on company policies, safety regulations, and standard work procedures including the set up & operation of machines & quality procedures required for each product line.
3. Works with Plant Manager to establish or adjust work procedures & staffing levels to meet production schedule.
4. Manages shift to ensure expected production output is met while also meeting quality requirements.
5. Directs set up & adjustments of machines to ensure specific operational performance & optimal utilization.
6. Inspects pore size of incoming reticulated buns & reclassifies as needed.
7. Inspects in process & finished products to verify conformance to specifications & initiates corrective action if any non-conformance is found.
8. Communicates with internal personnel to expedite raw material & component part testing & certification.
9. Updates & maintains job status dashboard in a timely fashion.
10. Reviews completed work orders to ensure completion & all materials are issued, as well as review fabrication discrepancies.
11. Interprets specifications, blueprints & job orders to workers & assists workers in solving work problems.
12. Recommends & initiates measures to improve production methods, equipment performance & quality of product.
13. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
14. Maintains & forwards time, production & employee records to Human Resources.
15. Maintains a safe, clean & organized work environment.
16. Confers with Human Resources & Plant Manager to resolve worker grievances.
17. Performs activities of workers supervised.
18. Performs duties in accordance with all applicable quality system procedures & standardized work instructions.
