Manager, Operations


This is a Full-time position in Lexington, KY posted June 10, 2021.

The Manager, Operations is a key leadership position and requires a practical understanding of supporting a manufacturing environment and all related operational functions.

An ideal candidate has a financial background, is experienced and skilled with business processes within ERP’s, and is familiar with a consultative approach to solving problems.

This role requires participation in the assessment and development of solutions to optimize cross functional processes.

Additionally, this role is accountable for leading the execution and implementation of such solutions, partnering with both internal and external resources.

This role reports directly to the VP Operations.

As such, the Manager Operations is responsible for partnering with all respective functional managers to drive overall results, lead projects to completion and enhance support to the respective teams.

The Manager must engage entity, channel and corporate senior leadership as may be necessary to seek support while improving visibility, communication and understanding of initiatives and the status thereof.

This role requires approximately one week per month of travel to ensure proper execution and sustainability of critically transformational initiatives as well as KPI and best practice management.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Key Results Area:
Actively participate in goal setting, metrics definition and overall operational optimization.Be a central figure in driving the results necessary to meet overall successes.Participate in the creation of and execute the strategic plan for Operational Excellence implementation at NJ & MS campuses.Partner with operational managers and lead the staff to successful performance through meaningful metrics.Partner with operational and financial managers to communicate and achieve financial and performance metrics on multiple periodic basis.Partner with Ops Finance to analyze departmental budgets and determine ways to improve cost productivity.Align functional department efforts over-arching operational strategy as well as ongoing corporate initiatives, policies and directives.Develop and maintain process parameters for core processes, i.e.

transformation planning.Provide insight to improve skills of individuals and teams and enable/support their growth.Establish standards for reporting and record keeping and system-wide management of projects.Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
