The House Manager is responsible and accountable for total units operations on a 24-hour basis to include fiscal management, staff development, and resource management with the ultimate goal of achieving quality and safe patient care.

Responsibilities

Expectations

  • Supervises assigned professional, technical, and clerical staff of the department to ensure the quality of work.
  • Manages the workflow of the unit to ensure the delivery of quality patient care.
  • Implements and supports quality improvement activities for the department.
  • Develops staffing patterns and ensures availability of sufficient qualified staff to meet patient care needs.
  • Works to develop and retain highly skilled and well-rounded staff including orienting, training, directing work, evaluating performance and assuring clinical competency.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) in Nursing from an accredited nursing college or program
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license cleared by the Kentucky Board of Nursing or with eNLC multi-state practice privilege
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required to obtain within 90 days post hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • NIHSS certificationMinimum of 3 years RN experience required. 
  • Minimum of 2 years leadership (i.e. RN-Charge) experience required.
  • Equivalent leadership capabilities will be considered in lieu of the leadership experience requirement based on executive leadership approval. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)

5 years of experience in acute care or in Critical Care nursing
