Business Execution Consultant

Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association

This is a Contract position in Lexington, KY posted May 7, 2022.

Overview: Participates on project teams and interacts with internal and Plan staff to develop and enhance National Programs including the introduction of new services, products, and features.

Leads smaller projects and portions of larger projects to meet the needs of internal and Plan clients.

Responsible for answering key business questions through data collection and analysis, interviews, expertise and team interaction.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Collect and analyze data on Consumer Transparency and Plan business needs.

Develops recommendations to support current initiatives.

Conducts research, analyze and report findings on Plan and competitor products and program performance to describe, evaluate and identify ways to improve or expand Consumer Transparency products.

Interact with Association and Plan staff to collect information and conduct interviews.

Develop an in-depth subject matter expertise on selected topics.

Develops recommendations, materials and presentations to communicate new initiatives, requirements and opportunities to external staff.

Summarize analysis in reports, spreadsheets and charts; contribute to team solution development and to development of presentations.

Lead small projects and support larger projects.

Manage activities across project work streams.

Present findings within the project team and to partners and internal clients.

Participate in/lead project team discussions of the conclusions and direction of analytical work.

Identifies opportunities for process improvement to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Identifies all stake holders and customers and peripheral impacts of business processes.

Other Accountabilities: Provides resources and guidance as needed to National Programs Staff.Develop and maintain effective working relationships to provide value-added services for customers.

Qualifications: Required Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent experience Minimum of 3 to 5 years related business operations experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office applications Preferred Basic Qualifications:Previous experience in health insurance or health careDemonstrated ability to research and master bodies of relevant knowledgeAbility to prepare work plans and manage mid-sized projects (budget and resources) and portions of projectsExperience in identifying data/information needs; acquiring and organizing data, delivering analysis and identifying major findingsAbility to create and communicate innovative conceptual models and synthesize diverse types of informationAbility to support data gathering activities, framing problems and guiding construction of instrumentsExcellent written and verbal communications skillsStrong relationship-building skillsDemonstrated ability to lead portions of client presentations and make presentations to internal staff membersStrong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to execute on work plans to manage smaller projects and portions of larger projects Equal Opportunity Employer: Blue Cross Blue Shield Association is an equal opportunity employer.
