You will develop and drive key initiatives to ensure the People team has the systems and tools in place to work efficiently and help the business rapidly scale, and that our people policies truly support and engage the whole employee.We are seeking a pragmatic problem-solver, with excellent judgment and strong interpersonal skills.

You will be a key leader on our small, but mighty, team so you must come with a vision, but be unafraid of getting your hands dirty.We take building our team and culture seriously at Block Renovation, and you would be instrumental to building a foundation for our employees to grow and succeed.Key Day-to-day Responsibilities IncludeDevelop and execute Block’s People Operations Strategy, with the goal of improving the experience and increasing the operational efficiency of the People team and all Block employees.Define and manage the People team tech stack as we continue maturing as a business, including reviewing potential HRIS and benefits improvements.

Proactively assess the functionality of current systems, make recommendations on usage and design, and lead the implementation of new tools and systems.Lead the design and administration of programs, based on your interests and expertise, including distributed work experiences, onboarding and off-boarding, performance management, medical leaves and accommodations, and/or leadership and development programs.As a hands-on generalist, provide operational support and collaborate with the broader People team and other company leaders to align goals, projects, and ensure connected processes.Define and report on People Team metrics.Lead People Team Compliance initiatives including required filings (EEO, etc.), visa administration, employment law related posters, and employee records.QualificationsYou are highly organized and have strong project management skills which allow you to successfully partner with various stakeholders.

You have strong interpersonal skills which allow you influence and coach others Functional knowledge in some HR areas; HRIS systems, benefits,compensation, performance management, workforce planning, leaves and accommodations, or knowledge and experience in employment law matters.You have lead or mentored others.You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.You can quickly adapt and pivot work when needed.You know how to prioritize your work, have excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Bachelor’s Degree.5 years of HR experience, Legal, or Consulting Experience.
