nJob Descriptionn n nn nn nn Truck Driver Class A Rollback: nn nn nn nnCareer Objective:nn nnThe primary career function of the Class A Truck Driver is to deliver and unload Construction/Agricultural equipment and supplies to and from the customer jobsite, store locations, dealer transfers, and other as applicable.nn nn nn nnCareer Responsibilities:nn nnDeliver and recover equipment at the customer site, which may include; but is not limited to:nn nnLoading, unloading, and securing the equipment.nn nnLocal or long-distance hauling of equipment and supplies.nn nnPerform basic troubleshooting involving malfunctioning equipment at jobsite and make minor repairs.nn nnPerform daily commercial vehicle inspection with completion of necessary repairs to vehicle to ensure operational safety.nn nnLearn and demonstrate Customer Service Standards for delivery service.nn nnAccurately obtain require signatures on rental contracts, pick up and exchange forms.nn nnDemonstration of proper and safe equipment usage to customer at point of delivery.nn nnPerform other duties assigned by the manager or authorized personnel.nn nnComplete inspection reports for out-going and returned equipment; completing log book and trip sheets meeting all D.O.T.

and company record keeping requirements with all Company Policy and Procedures.nn nn nn nnDefinition of Class A Vehiclenn nnAny combination of vehicles with a gross combination weight rating (GCWR) of 11,794 kilograms or more (26,001 pounds or more) provided the GVWR of the vehicle(s) being towed is in excel of 4,536 kilograms (10,000 pounds.)nn nnEducation and Requirements:nn nnEducation High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.nn nnMust be able to read, write, and communicate effectively.nn nnUnderstands the tie-down points of required equipment.nn nnValid Drivers license with Class A CDL certification, DOT Physical Examination (Medical Card).nn nnMust be 21 years of age.nn nnWorking knowledge and understanding of Motor Carrier Safety Regulations / DOT Guidelines.nn nnKnowledge of local major and minor roadways and the ability to effectively use maps and directions for efficient delivery routing.nn nnPossess knowledge of and/or previous experience in driving delivery trucks, towing tandem axle utility trailers, and towable construction equipment, operating safely within high traffic or congested city zones and in small rural areas.nn nnPrior training and/or experience with similar Construction/Agricultural equipment a must.nn nnMust be capable of calculating mileage distances using road maps.nn nnAbility to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.nn nn nn nnExperience:nn nnExperience in the transportation and operation of construction, agricultural and/or aerial equipment preferred.nn nn nn nnAdditional Requirements:nn nnPossess a current drivers license, DOT Physical Examination (Medical Card).nn nnExhibit safe driving behavior / record instead of quality level record and maintain a Franklin Equipment quality level driving record.nn nnDemonstrate a high level of safety awareness on the roadwaysnn nnExhibit professional defensive driving techniques to protect internal equipment and other driversnn nnPossess a Can Do” attitude and be willing to do what is necessary to exceed customer/company expectation.nn nnMust have sufficient mechanical ability to troubleshoot and make minor repairs to equipment and vehicle.nn nnMust have a working knowledge of delivery area.nn nnPossess prior experience in safe operation of heavy construction machinery within rental industry, and working understanding of load securement and transport.nn nn nn nn *Earn up to an Additional $4,340 per year in Commissions!* nn nn nn nn Franklin Equipment provides an Aggressive Salary, Weekly Pay, Terrific Benefits, 401K, Health, Dental & Life Insurance, Vacation, Personal & Wellness Days, Training, Tuition Reimbursement, Career Incentives, Opportunity for Advancement, Potential Sign-on Bonus and the Chance to Work with a Great Team of People.
