Parts Sales – Doggett Heavy Machinery Services Houston, TX


This is a Contract position in Lexington, KY posted November 24, 2021.

Parts Sales Advisor Classification Exempt Job Summary This individual will sell parts and whole-good attachments as a customer solution and build long term relationships within territory to maximize company profitability and market share.

Essential Functions Sell parts wholegoods attachments, and any other management approved products.

Maintain basic technical knowledge of Doggett Heavy Machinery products and services and provide technical assistance where applicable.

Use customer relationship management tool to fully document, track, record, follow-up and capture all related sales activity.

Use of the system should contribute directly to the proposal process, winning the sale, volume, territory awareness, participation and customer satisfaction.

Represent the company for the sale of Product Support to customers in a defined sales area.

Promptly submit sales leads to Doggett Sales Management and appropriate sales people as these leads are discovered.

Maintain excellent relationships with customers and coworkers.

Keep current on product knowledge, features and benefits of all products and services potentially saleable by the company.

Keep abreast of competitive activity and competitive products, as well as business and industry trends.

Maintain, as directed by the Manager, current and complete Sales Management information for all customers in the assigned territory.

Accurately complete all documents related to sales transactions.

Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.

Follow up on each sale.

Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm&039;s production and delivery schedules.

Prepare reports for business transactions and keep expense accounts.

Attend training classes, store meetings, and all required company meetings.

Perform any other special duties as requested by management to ensure customer satisfaction.

Represent and promote Doggett and fellow employees in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Use and maintain Company facilities and equipment in a professional and safe manner.

Demonstrate a willingness to learn.

Follow all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.

Present a professional image of Doggett at all times.

Qualifications: 1-3 years experience in a construction/agriculture related role with involvement in activities such as sales, service, training or other related work.

Strong Computer Skills Strong Communication Skills Excellent Customer Service Skills High school graduate or equivalent and Associates degree from a technical college Minimum of 3 years experience working with heavy machinery preferred Knowledge of Machine Control and Guidance operation Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, power train and engine components Valid Texas drivers license and clean driving record Typical Physical Activity: Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs Typical Environmental Conditions: A major portion of every day will be spent outdoors walking, stooping and bending, climbing on and off machines.

Proper PPE is required for all training Typical Environmental Conditions: Must be able to travel regularly.
