Student Intern

City of Chicago, IL

This is a Full-time position in Lexington, KY posted April 27, 2022.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education, Training, and Experience Must be a student in good academic standing currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or law school OR a student in good academic standing currently enrolled in an accredited business or data processing/ information technology school.

Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 grading scale or a 3.5 on a 5.0 grading scale.

Students must maintain the required GPA throughout the duration of their employment / internship Must be enrolled in school with a minimum of 6 credit hours (or quarter hour equivalency) throughout the duration of internship, with the exception of academic breaks, i.e.

summer Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications -Word, Excel and Power Point Disclaimer
– “Accredited” means any nationally or regionally accredited college, university, or law school where the applicant is enrolled in or has completed a Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree program.

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS This position requires applicants to complete an interview.

The candidate that possesses the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the oral interview, will be selected.

Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following: Bachelor level student majoring in Counseling, Rehabilitation, Social Work, Education, Special Education or a comparable Human/Social Services degree program Previous experience working with students with disabilities Proficiency with Microsoft/Google Office Software Word, Power Point, Excel, Google
– Docs, Sheets, Slides Proficiency utilizing the internet for research and social media Residency Requirement: All employees of the City of Chicago must be actual residents of the City as outlined in 2-152-050 of the City of Chicago Municipal Code.
