Bakersfield Memorial Hospital

This is a Contract position in Lexington, KY posted May 7, 2022.

Overview: Bakersfield Memorial Hospital includes 385 general acute beds, 48 licensed critical care beds, 13 state-of-the-art surgical suites, and a full-service Emergency Department with an Accredited Chest Pain Center and Nationally Certified Stroke Center.

In addition, we offer a beautiful Family Care and Birthing Center, the Lauren Small Children’s Center including the area’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Family Care Center, a Level II NICU, the Sarvanand Heart, and Brain Center with Kern County’s first Bi-Plane Interventional Suite, the Center for Wound Care and Hyperbarics, and many more services.

Responsibilities: Position Summary:15K Sign On Bonus for Eligible/Qualified/Experienced External Candidates with 1 year of unit specific experience The registered nurse is responsible to take primary responsibility to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the nursing care of each assigned patient.

Provide direct patient care.

Supervise the activities of nursing staff members.

Follow-up on all care related activities and assure all physician orders are accurately transcribed and carried out in a timely manner.

Coordinate the plan of care.

Conduct patient teaching specific to disease entity and home management.

Actively participate in assuring care continuum.
