FCPS Math MattersFayette County Public Schools hosts AmeriCorps members to provide tutoring to 6th grade students using the computer-based program, “Successmaker Math”.
At the end of each year, a member is responsible for demonstrating that student beneficiaries: 1) improve academic performance in math; and, 2) increase frequency of homework completion.
Members may also provide other services through Family Resource Centers including after school programming, tutoring, and summer school assistance.
Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.Member Duties : Tutor middle school students that are below 50th percentile of math MAP assessment, assist with homework, after school programs/tutoring, assist Family Resource Centers to distribute food and other materials that create barriers to student success.
Program Benefits : Education award upon successful completion of service , Childcare assistance if eligible , Training , Living Allowance .
Terms :Permits attendance at school during off hours , Permits working at another job during off hours , Prohibits paid work outside of the sponsoring agency at any time .
