This is a Full-time position in Lexington, KY posted December 5, 2021.

Shriners Hospitals for Children Medical Center- Lexington, has a special opportunity for an individual to assist the Hospital Development office.

The Development Assistant is responsible for administrative and general development duties for the Medical Center. Performs routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files. Responsible for providing information to potential donors and/or directing them to the development staff member best fit for the donor’s needs. Acts as a resource to staff and general public regarding assigned areas of responsibility. Position exercises professional and ethical judgment in the performance of duties. This position is responsible for the accurate and timely maintenance of record keeping systems; correspondence; policies and procedures; this position functions in a timely manner to meet deadlines and carry out assigned processes, workflow and operations while maintaining confidentiality. Apply problem-solving techniques to resolve various situations.

Job Requirements:

 Requirements include:

·         High School graduate or equivalent required.

·         Associates degree in Business or related field preferred.

·         2 years Fundraising experience preferred.

·         Previous general clerical experience preferred.

·         Background in Development preferred.

·         Strong Computer skills and experience required.


Knowledge of Hospital and Administrative Policies and procedures preferred.
