The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for auditing, monitoring, tracking, and reporting of issues related to federal, state, and local regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB Coordinates and supports activities associated with Lextran’s public transit programs to ensure that no person, on the grounds of any protected class, is excluded from participating in, or denied the benefits of, or subject to discrimination under any program or activity; and to ensure that no qualified individual with a disability, on the basis of disability, is excluded from participation in, or be denied the benefits of, any service, program, or activity Collaborates internally with Lextran staff to ensure that transit services are distributed in an equitable manner, including Title VI, environmental justice, and Limited English Proficiency requirements Monitors and ensures that all external documents and materials are formatted for accessibility and language needs in the community Serves as the ADA Officer Conducts community outreach in efforts to ensure that Lextran’s commitment to accessibility, equity, diversity and inclusion is achieved through its plans and services Monitors, investigates, and resolves complaints and customer feedback; including complaints that a person(s) was denied benefits of, excluded from participation in, or subject to discrimination on the grounds of any protected class; evaluates, analyzes, and approves or denies passenger requests for reasonable modification Supports analysis and review of fixed-route performance and collects performance data, including customer comments, related to Title VI, Americans with Disabilities Act, Environmental Justice, and Limited English Proficiency requirements Collects and monitors agency data associated with the Equal Employment Opportunity program Supports analysis and review of paratransit contract requirements by managing contractor’s performance and collects performance data Maintains customer service related to ADA and Title VI complaints and allegations and resolves matters in a timely manner Assists in the creation, submission and implementation of Lextran plans as follows: Title VI Plan, Coordinated Human Services Plan, and Equal Employment Opportunity Program and Plan OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB Researches and applies knowledge of federal, state, local and corporate regulations and policies as well as contractual performance standards to all aspects of contract management, performance standards customer service, and service delivery.

from a four-year college or university preferred.

Three (3) to five (5) years of experience related to compliance, equity, equality, and social and environmental justice preferred.

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
