Position Qualifications:
One year experience in hospital or nursing home setting.
Has completed a recognized CNA training program and is currently a State Registered Nurse Aide through the KY State Board of Nursing.
Is at least 18 years of age and is a high school graduate or equivalent.
Possesses and maintains good physical stamina and mental health.
Has ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
Satisfactory references from previous employers.
Is self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
Has empathy for the needs of the ill, frail, and impaired.

Understands philosophy of Hospice care and needs of the terminally ill.
Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligation.
Demonstrates tact, patience, and good personal hygiene.
Current driver’s license and auto liability coverage
Negative TB skin test, pre-employment physician’s health clearance
Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The nurse assistant is a para-professional member of the hospice team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient’s personal needs, to promote the patient’s comfort, and a safe environment.

The nurse assistant is responsible for observing patients and reporting/documenting these observations and the services provided.
