In collaboration with the organization’s senior leadership team, strategic planning team, University Facilities Management leadership in Capital Project Management, Campus Physical Plant, Medical Center Physical Plant, and Facilities Planning, and as a member of the operations team, the selected candidate will provide leadership for strategic facilities planning and management.

The chosen candidate will provide vision for the UK Healthcare Facilities Master Plan.

Areas of planning and management include, but are not limited to, sequencing, estimating, managing costs and budgets, facilities infrastructure project planning and development, property acquisition and lease management, ensuring regulatory ready facilities at all times, project feasibility studies, vision and strategic approach to space planning and space allocation oversight, presenting to senior leadership and the Board of Trustees, etc.

Business acumen will be critical to plan strategic options in collaboration with senior leadership.

Awaiting the candidate of choice are an excellent staff, full financial and administrative support, the combined resources of a nationally ranked Academic Medical Center and approximately 2 Billion in upcoming projects over the next 5
– 8 years: a cancer building, ambulatory building on campus, community sited ambulatory building, replacement community sited hospital and expansion of an academic hospital.
