Fleet Mechanic

There are a lot of moving parts in our business, and as a mechanic, you help run and maintain the latest production technology, equipment, and fleet for the world s biggest brands.

You ll part of the behind-the-scenes team that keeps the production of superior beverages flowing to consumers.Fleet Mechanics serve our internal customers by maintaining and repairing the company sfleet of vehicles according to established company standards and federal law to ensure thesafety, reliability and functionality of the fleet.Work Hours: Mon
– Fri, 12 noon
– 8:30pmJob Duties:Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with company vehicles (e.g.

tractors, trailers, vans,cars, diesel engines, forklifts and pallet jacks); repairs vehicles according to establishedcompany standards and federal law.Performs preventative maintenance (e.g.

oil changes, tire rotations) on company vehiclesaccording to established guidelines.Responds to vehicle break downs that occur outside of the facility (e.g.

diagnose, repair, switchout equipment as needed).Adheres to all company policies, standards and procedures (e.g.

OSHA and safetyrequirements, AIB and Pepsi standards, Federal/State/Local Laws); wears all required personalCommunicates with: co-workers regarding repair status on equipment; internal customersregarding vehicle repair needs; supervisor regarding vehicle repair issues.Transports equipment to outside maintenance shops for repair work not completed in-house.Orders parts and maintains parts inventory.Maintains cleanliness and assists in the organization of the fleet garage (e.g.

cleans up spills,properly disposes of used parts).Completes Federal annual inspection reports, preventative maintenance records, servicerepair order forms, time-off requests and other required paperwork according toestablished standardsWorks assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime asneeded to meet workload demands.

Performs other related duties as required.High School degree, GED or equivalent degree required; trade school diploma or associate s degree in diesel mechanics strongly preferred3-5 years of previous diesel mechanic experience required as well as own tools; ASE certification strongly preferredValid Class A Commercial Driver s License preferred; Employee must be insurable to operate a vehicle, as a condition of initial and continued employment.Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs manuallyMust be able to work around fumes, airborne particles and toxic/caustic materials.

Must be ableto work around moving equipment (e.g.
