Field Technician III in Bellevue, Washington (HVAC)


This is a Contract position in Lexington, KY posted November 26, 2021.

Role: Field Technician III Location: Bellevue, Washington Duration: 3 Months (will be extended) Job Description: At least 5 years relevant experience required.

Responsible for staying current in technical theory, application, and operational discipline.

Takes on technical and project-related efforts, providing communication as directed.

The Technician has a solid understanding of theory and application related to project management, radio access networks, backhaul to sites, signaling, disaster recovery planning and response, data services, and location-based services.

The Technician has a basic understanding of theory and application related to network design, capacity planning, power systems AC/DC, and grounding.

– Will need to support two sites which are 20-25 miles apart.

– Will support: TSDandO Critical Facilities team(s) under Greg Trant primarily in support of Snoqualmie and Bellevue LAB critical sites.

– Customers are Tech Experience, Device LAB, Network Validation LAB, CFEandI National Deployment teams.

– the candidate will be required to be on site daily and on call rotation with existing staff, one week on, one week off.

– will be extended Skillset Matrix: Technology Requirements (I.E Programs, systems, etc) Building management systems user experience, standard office software use.

Understand electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire and security systems in order to operate, maintain and augment as needed.

What does a typical day look like?

(daily tasks) Walk site, mitigate issues, schedule vendors/contractors work, serve customer requests, operate generators, switchgear, pumps, infrastructure.

Respond to emergencies 24/7 during work day and on call.

Priority soft skills Most EXCELLENT communication and people skills with the plethora of customers, vendors, contractors and TMO users of the facility and all their needs for provisioning network, power, cooling and support.

Must be tolerant and CUSTOMER SERVICE oriented.

Additional details: Critical Facilities Experience Needed: Critical Power/Cooling/fire systems/security/building operations, construction, maintenance breakfix coordination, control, reporting.

Emergency power generators, ATS/Swithgear, UPS, cooling (DX/Chiller/CW), gas fire agent/dry pipe pre-action systems, security.

Building operations, maintenance, people services.
