Network Engineer

This is a Contract position in Lexington, KY posted December 21, 2021.

We are currently seeking TS/SCI cleared individuals who have experience as Desktop Support Technicians, Systems Administrators, or Network Engineers.

These individuals will be members of the Site Survey workstream, responsible for the intake, scheduling, coordination, and execution of all site surveys.

As a member of the site deployment team, the Deployment Engineer is responsible for the design and execution of all customer site installations following the findings from the site survey.

They will work with stakeholders to design the network infrastructure, taking pre-existing systems into consideration, generate bill of materials (BOM), coordinate equipment ordering and execute local installation and configuration.

This position can be located near any airport and will require frequent travel (up to 75%) to conduct site surveys.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install and configure edge devices and trusted thin client workstations in a client environment Execution of site survey following prescribed checklist, including but not limited to: Generation of site survey report at the unclassified level Inventory site installation package and provide report to the PMO representative Train local customers on operational basics Implements routine changes on production systems per direction and guidance from Administrators.

Supports the integration of new technologies into existing infrastructure.

Deploys standard repeatable build outs.

Duties and responsibilities will vary depending on which role you fill
– Deployment Specialist, Deployment Engineer, or Network Deployment Engineer.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree preferred, Associates 2 years experience accepted for Specialist role TS/SCI Demonstrated experience diagnosing/debugging faults in complex services or distributed systems Experience using common diagnostic tools like Netmon, WinDBG and Wireshark Experience with PowerShell, SQL, and Python scripting desirable Able to diagnose and mitigate faults Able to identify and drive recovery levers with feature teams Able to communicate effectively through written and oral English Able to interact with external customers and partners on behalf of Microsoft Ability to perform work under continuous deadline pressure Ability to execute work with precision in time sensitive outage scenarios Effectively communicate status changes to impact Preferred Skills Detail-oriented Ability to multi-task Flexible schedule to support requirements as assigned Strong organizational skills Ability to identify and script automatable problems, perform work with efficiency in mind
