Human Resources Assistant

Associated Solutions

This is a Contract position in Lexington, KY posted November 24, 2021.

Performs various administrative duties in support of Human Resources Department, including payroll processing, employee relations, and safety.

Assists with the administration and implementation of policies and procedures, government compliance, employee record-keeping and reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Addresses employee questions/concerns, escalating matters to HR Supervisor as needed.

Provides timely and accurate responses to employee benefit, policy, and procedure questions.

Ensures all new hire and termination paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely manner.

Completes the E-Verify process for all new hires.

Responsible for timesheet / attendance records and reconciliation for non-exempt employees.

Responsible for completion of all employment verifications.

Assists with company-wide annual performance review process.

Assists with employee survey distribution, compilation and analysis of results.

Maintains inventory of break room and office supplies, and submits orders accordingly.

Receives, sorts and distributes incoming mail for building.

Assists HR Team Members with various reporting, training, and record-keeping.

Serves as backup for HR Generalist and other departmental functions.

Performs additional departmental and building-related administrative duties as assigned.

Maintains confidentiality and discretion in all employee matters.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency in Microsoft office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Familiarity with HRIS platforms (ADP preferred).

Knowledge of Basic HR principles, laws, and regulations a plus.

Skilled in communicating within all levels of the organization and work collaboratively with various departments.

Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner.

Ability to use sound reason and judgment to resolve employee matters in fair and consistent manner.

Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.

Education and Experience: This position requires a minimum of 1-3 years of administrative or other relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Incumbent should have exceptional interpersonal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft products a must.
