To be considered, you must have experience with the following:At least one year of experience working in an Emergency Department or Urgent CareCurrently licensed by the State of Virginia as an RNCurrent CPR certification, ACLS and PALS preferredWilling to attend CME coursesWorld class customer serviceWhat to expect when working at BetterMed as a Registered Nurse:Receive and greet visitor, patients, and staff members in a professional mannerPerform selected nursing and administrative dutiesPrepare patients for examination and treatment.

Take patient histories and vital signsPrepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instrumentsAdminister injections, IV, PO, PR medications and wound care as instructedDistribute medications as directed by Physician, PA, or NPRequires ability to perform vena puncture and IV accessPrepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilizationAssist provider in preparing for procedures and examsAssist with scheduling of tests and arranging offsite treatmentOrder and maintain clinical and office supplies and equipmentMaintain patient files, records and other informationWork closely with the Physician, PA, or NP to receive guidance and instruction for treating patientsAdjust to quality assurance policies and procedures concerning all clinical issuesMaintain equipment for use at all times, in a clean and safe conditionMakes suggestions to improve work methodsTrains new employeesOther duties may be assignedWe’re an equal opportunity employer.
