Psychiatric – APRN Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

New Vista

This is a Contract position in Lexington, KY posted December 23, 2021.

Performs evaluations, determines diagnosis and provides treatment to children and adolescents and/or Adults with mental health issues, those with substance abuse issues and/or IDD via telehealth. May be called upon to perform administrative duties in conjunction with clinical responsibilities. Functions as a consultant to other staff members and provides medical back up. Collaborates with clinical staff to discuss and develop treatment plans.

Required Education and Experience

  • Active, unrestricted Kentucky Board of Nursing License
  • Board Certified as Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner 
  • DEA registration 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable operating transportation, and proof of current auto insurance
  • Preferred Education and Experience

  • Prior experience providing treatment to children and adolescents with a mental illness diagnosis, substance abuse and/or IDD
  • Prior experience providing services in a telehealth environment
  • Essential Functions

  • Perform psychiatric/other evaluations
  • Provide ongoing psychotropic medication management
  • Actively participate in treatment planning process
  • Work within a team to provide care for those with mental health issues
