Market Director Employee Health

Position is responsible for the supervision of the Employee Health program and staff.

To advise and direct all members of the Employee Health staff, and coordinate positions to ensure job responsibilities are being met.

The supervisor will complete job evaluations for Employee Health, and direct staff to meet organizational mission and goals.

This position is also responsible for managing the Employee Health program ensuring the health and wellness of all employees, addressing worker’s compensation issues and staying in compliance with state, federal, and OSHA regulations.

Responsible for maintenance of health records on all employees, including annual TB testing and pre-employment health screens.

Promotes employee health & wellness through a variety of programs, pamphlets and special events throughout the year.

This position will work in collaboration with numerous departments as it pertains to Employee Health, Wellness, and Worker’s Compensation.

Actions are in accordance with established hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.

Will serve as a resource or subject matter expert on roles/activities that employee health may encounter, such as: Employee Health, Wellness, Workers Compensation, Transitional duty, ADAAA, drug testing, safe patient handling, Quality & Risk measures (CRMIP), and other areas as deemed appropriate.

Will also work with Occupational Health resources/partners to deliver services to employees, manage annual budgeting, invoice payments and other duties as assigned.


Required Education:

• Required Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline; 

• Master’s Degree strongly preferred

Required Licensure and Certifications:

• KY Nursing License

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience

• 3 years Employee Health/Management experience

• Familiar with Worker’s Compensation laws

• Experience with OSHA, TJC, ADAAA
