Clinical Quality Specialist/UKHC

University of Kentucky

This is a Full-time position in Lexington, KY posted June 13, 2021.

Job Summary

The Clinical Quality Specialist will coordinate the daily monitoring and clinical rounds with quality requirements across the enterprise.

This position will be responsible for ensuring accurate and complete documentation of quality measures, providing coverage across both campuses; facilitating compliance through communication with all disciplines, including direct care providers; providing quality metrics education throughout the enterprise to all members of the healthcare team; ensuring regular communication with staff with appropriate documentation; and providing exceptional customer services to patients, co-workers, and the public at all times.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage multiple tasks and/or projects while accurately completing routine functions in a fast paced, high intensity, professional work environment; knowledge of Pyxis, RXAuditor, Autosplit, OrderExpress; proficient in Microsoft Office, to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; excellent attention to detail; exceptional planning and organizational skill; effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to solve routine problems and manage resources; and demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service, time management, and judgment.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?

No Preferred Education/Experience

BSN or above and at least four full years of direct experience in healthcare compliance and reporting.
