– Unannounced ProjectRequisition ID:R010566Job Description:Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a talented and experienced game designer to champion class and combat design for an exciting new unannounced project.

This is your opportunity to define combat in one of Blizzard’s upcoming mobile titlesYou will collaborate with design leadership to create and iterate on all aspects of classes, combat, and related game systems.

The ideal candidate has a strong aptitude for critical thinking and analysis, boundless creativity, a strong visual aesthetic, and a passion for games.

The BEST candidate has a deep understanding of how games like World of Warcraft, Diablo, Overwatch, and Heroes of the Storm make each of their classes feel unique and fun.COVID-19 Hiring Update: We’ve transitioned to a work-from-home model and we’re continuing to interview and hire during this time.

This role is expected to begin as a remote position.

We understand each person’s circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore possible interim options.RequirementsStrong understanding of how classes interact with each other in both cooperative and PvP environments.Excellent written and verbal communications skills.Able to work creatively and meet deadlines in a demanding team environment.Strong math and organizational skills.Absolute passion for playing and making video games.Pluses3 years or more of game design experience, preferably on RPG classes and combat.Experience designing classes or characters for MMOs, MOBAs, CCRPGs, ARPGs, or other games with unique ability loadouts and roles.Broad design experience, including encounter design, UX design, and progression/rewards design.A love for Blizzard games.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
