– 6pm, must have full availability)Paid training$500 sign-on bonusIn an effort to help improve the customer service experience and streamline the appointment scheduling process for our patients, Baptist has created the Patient Connection Hub, a state of the art healthcare call center.

Agents are trained to field calls from patients to their Baptist Health Medical Group providers across the state to schedule appointments, complete referrals, retrieve medical records, and provide other services.

The Hub is a one-stop experience designed to streamline patient and provider communication.

Our goal is to deliver a high-quality and integrated Baptist experience; ultimately ensuring that patient’s receive the best care possible.This position is for the Primary Care specialty in our Patient Connection Hub located at 2525 Harrodsburg Rd, Lexington, KY 40504.

This is an evolving department.

It was founded in early 2021 and we are looking to grow our team.Position ResponsibilitiesWorks in a fast paced, call center environment accepting incoming calls promptly and making outbound calls in a professional and courteous manner.Schedules appointments electronically for new and established patients, collects and inputs information into our electronic EHR (Epic) while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.Independently works to resolve patient questions related to patient care referrals, authorizations and insurance verifications.Indexes medical records according to defined processes.Demonstrates the highest level of commitment, compassion and customer service for all of our patients, providers and team members.Possesses and displays excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey information in a clear, focused and concise manner while following proper grammar rules.Demonstrates strong telephone communication and etiquette skills.Maintain composure during moments of stress and maintain a helpful disposition at all times.Performs other duties as assigned by management.Minimum Education, Training, and Experience RequiredHigh School Diploma or equivalentStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong computer skillsStrong research and problem solving skillsAt least 1 year of experience in customer service, call center, healthcare, or formal educationMust be able to successfully pass a thorough background check and drug screenPreferred SkillsPrior medical office experience or prior call center experiencePrior experience in pre-registration and/or schedulingIf you would like to be part of a growing family focused on supporting clinical excellence, teamwork and innovation, we urge you to apply now!Employees will be expected to comply with Baptist Health’s infectious disease and vaccination policies, which include but may not be limited to compliance with BHS’ mandatory vaccination policies for influenza and COVID unless reasonable accommodations are needed under applicable lawBaptist Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
