The Receptionist facilitates donor and visitor registration at KBC’s Beaumont location by welcoming and directing individuals to the correct areas.

The position is responsible for answering mainline calls during regular business hours, responding to inquiries, and routing to the appropriate parties, as needed.

Reports to the Blood Collections Administrative Manager.

Represents KBC by receiving visitors with a polite and professional demeanor and ensuring log sign-in; directs donors to the registration desk.
Answers and routes incoming calls; researches and responds to inquires, and relays messages.
Conducts and documents visitor temperature checks, when required for facility admission.
Performs donor registration process on an as needed basis.
Maintains the appearance of the lobby and canteen area, including care for plants, magazines, cleanliness, and furniture arrangement; reports facilities needs in a timely manner.
Coordinates resolution of facility access issues with IT, and issues temporary door fobs.
Retains a current, applicable knowledge of the organizational structure, department contacts, and general operations, in order to properly direct and assist others.
Performs schedule updates and assists with approving time off requests for Blood Collections.
Assists with other duties including but not limited to clerical tasks, customer service functions, and administrative projects, as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prior related customer service experience required; background in reception or a call center environment preferred.
MS Office proficiency with the ability to navigate web applications and internal custom systems; understanding of multi-line phone functionality.
Must possess good communication skills and demonstrate a professional and courteous demeanor.
