We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Analyst, Finance in our Boston area office.

The successful candidate will be an active member of the finance team involved in structuring, sourcing, negotiating, and maintaining a variety of debt instruments across our various investment vehicles.

The person will be a highly resourceful team player, who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, and efficient.

The individual must be organized and exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and financial skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among competing priorities.

Duties and Responsibilities: Work closely with finance officers and analysts in the preparation and marketing of debt offerings Work with and manage analyst(s) to create, manage, and maintain models for new financings, quarterly and annual debt compliance, and other modeling and memos as necessary to support finance officers and senior management with debt strategies for a variety of debt products across multiple investment vehicles Work with finance officers and investment team to formulate debt strategies for standalone investments ensuring timelines are met Coordinate with investment and development teams to maintain working knowledge of active transactions Manage due diligence and closing process for loans and credit facilities; work with asset management team to gather and source due diligence and closing materials for loans Review, reconcile, and approve closing statements for financings Research and summarize both macroeconomic information and specific deal information that will impact Cabot’s investments Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual investor reporting materials Work with analysts and Treasury department to manage regular borrowing notices and track borrowings on an as needed basis Read, prepare and enter detailed loan abstracts into Cabot’s database system as well as maintaining borrowing history Collaborate with and mentor Finance Analyst(s) to support their professional development Maintain lender relationships and database of historical, current, and prospective lenders Other various tasks and projects as needed Qualifications and Experience: 2-7 years relevant work experience in commercial real estate investment, development, lending, investment banking, brokerage, asset management, or other related field Undergraduate degree with an excellent academic background required Self-motivated, high attention to detail, highly organized, ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast pace environment and be a proactive team player High level of professionalism and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality as required and appropriate Strong, proven financial modeling skills and familiarity with finance, real estate, investment and capital market concepts Familiarity with SQL is desirable Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook) required Familiarity with real estate accounting software preferred Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills A strong desire to learn A strong desire to work as part of a team Physical/Mental/Visual Demands and Work Environment: The job is conducted in an office work environment, sitting most of the time Approximately 90% of this position’s duties require use of a computer Travel related to property inspections, lender meetings, and conferences The work environment characteristics described above are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
