ABOUT THIS ROLE
Associations International is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team!

In this role, you will be responsible for performing month end close and producing financial statements for those association clients assigned to you.

This role will process payroll and monthly rebills while acting as the main point of contact for finance related questions for those assigned clients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Responsible for monthly general ledger review, including actual vs.

budget comparisons, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and providing both oral and written financial analysis on assigned association clients and other projects.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements to institutions and other parties.
Responsible for monthly bank reconciliations for non-assigned entities.
Develop annual budgets for assigned projects.
Work with Executive Directors and staff to ensure that contractual requirements are followed and to provide financial analysis including recommendations for enhanced performance.
Assist with the maintenance and data integrity of the accounting and related software.
Analyze, reconcile and process payroll on a biweekly basis using HRIS system.
Review, reconcile and produce monthly association rebill invoices.
Prepare audit work papers, oversee client audits and 990 preparation.
QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
At least five years accounting experience preferred.
Advanced Excel computer knowledge a must.

Great Plains, ActivityHD and NetForum software experience preferred.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Not for Profit or Association Management experience a plus.
Demonstrate the highest level of ethical behavior.
Work accurately with close attention to detail.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Work effectively, professionally and tactfully with employees, clients, and outside teams.
