Certified Financial Planner An ADP Client, Family Wealth Group is currently seeking a Certified Financial Planner to join the team in Lexington, KY 40509. Our team of financial service professionals can help you create a well-thought-out strategy, using a variety of investments and insurance products, designed to help you address your financial needs and concerns. • Responsibilities: • Attends client meetings • Provides oversight for the completion and execution of new business paperwork • Tracks progress of applications and transfers, assists in onboarding and improving client experience • Acts as the first point of contact on client service communications • Coordinates and strategizes with Producing Advisor • Develops case design and prep work for client review appointments • Manages and reviews client accounts and identifies additional opportunities for clients • Reviews client plans and makes recommendations to clients in consultation with Producing Advisor • Collaborates with Advisor Teams to leverage internal and external resources to achieve client objectives for retirement planning. This may include areas of Investment Management, Estate Planning, Tax Planning, Risk Management, and Legacy Planning • Seeks out leadership roles in projects and assignments • Provides leadership to service team support members for success of our clients’ objectives • Participates in discovery of additional tools and programs designed to increase clients’ positive experience Work Context: • Requires repetitive movement. • Requires standing and sitting for extended periods of time. • Requires working at a computer for extended periods of time. • Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. • Requires frequent interaction with co-workers, outside businesses, companies, vendors, and clients (whether by telephone, email, or face-to-face contact). • Requires dealing with, at times, unpleasant, angry or discourteous people and conflicts. • Requires working with others in a group or team setting. • Requires quick and effective problem-solving skills under high pressure environments. • Requires frequent multi-tasking. • Requires meeting strict deadlines. • Requires creating and adhering to workflow charts, compliance requests, and team input. Our ideal candidate: Education and Experience • 4 + years of experience in financial planning, wealth management or a related industry preferred • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and/or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) required • Securities licensed, Series 65 or 66 required (or completed within 120 days of hire) • Organized and able to handle multiple client relationships with contending priorities and coordinate team member resources effectively • Solid communication, relationship building and analytical skills • Experience in working within a TEAM based environment • Baseline proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, Windows) required; expected to learn other position-related systems on the job • Salary plus applicable bonus and/or commissions, negotiable Basic Skills • Active Learning: Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making. • Active Listening: Giving full attention to what people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting and inappropriate times. • Critical Thinking: using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to the problems. • Learning Strategies: Selecting and using training / instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things. • Speaking: Talking to others to convey information effectively • Writing: Communication effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience. • Attention to Detail: Carefully, thoroughly, and efficiently completing one’s own work and, subsequently, revising the quality of said work/ performance for even small mistakes, errors or blunders.
